NeuroClarity is a licensed telemedicine practice headed by Dr. Jaye Turrietta, a licensed psychologist who also holds doctoral-level board certification in behavior analysis. Appointments happen online, which is what strips most of the waiting out of the process.
This is a Success On The Spectrum arrangement rather than something particular to McKinney, and because the appointments are virtual it is open to families wherever they live. What actually happens.
History and paperwork
Developmental history, what worries you, and whatever the school or your pediatrician has already written down. The more you bring, the sharper the picture the psychologist can draw.
The appointment
The clinician picks the set of assessments that fits your child's age. With little ones you do most of the interacting while the psychologist watches; older children and adults take part directly.
The written report
Fifteen to twenty-five pages signed by the psychologist: the diagnostic conclusion against current criteria, the scores behind it, and recommendations you can hand to a doctor, an insurer and a school.
Bring it to us
That report is what an insurer needs before it will authorize ABA, speech or OT. Send it over and the benefits and authorization work starts immediately.
What the evaluation costs.
NeuroClarity sets and publishes its own fee, a flat rate covering the evaluation and the written report. Confirm the current figure with them directly before you book. They take credit cards and HSA or FSA funds, and they issue an itemized medical invoice (a superbill) that you can submit to your own insurer for out-of-network reimbursement.
